Four bolts hold the shifter in - pull them out and the shifter is off. Oh - be sure to take a pair of big pliers to remove the spring that holds the boot on around the shifter.
Be sure everything in your tool bag is metric. That's all you can use on these. If you're not going to take the clutch and/or flywheel, remove the four transmission bolts, remove the speedometer cable, drop the drive shaft and you should be able to slide that dude right out. Did I forget anything?
