My name is Dean and go by that or Louie. Anyhow I am new to the site because I just purchased a 1941 3/4 ton pickup. It has a bed built by previous owner to replicate original, newer inline six swapped in (so far points to a GM 250 C.I.) with 3 spd tranny. Running boards were cut shorter to back of cab because remainder was to rusted. I'll be searching for new running boards. It was painted light purple on cab and bed with dark purple on fenders and running boards. But rust is creeping back through. Overall I'd say it's in good shape to start a project with. My plans are to make it a daily driver, no major exterior mods to it w/ exception of paint. This summer I will work on mechanicals and some rust control and during next winter perform major body work.Feel free to respond with suggestions or whatever.
