I have been replacing many things in my engine, and noticed yesterday that my PVS (ported vacuum switch) has 4 hoses coming out of it, NONE of which are plugged into anything...??? Also the PVS, which is gray plastic, is supposed to screw down into the Thermostat housing, but has broken off of that as well. So essentially, the whole thing is not connected to anything. what does this thing do and do I need to bother replacing it? It's been like this for about a year, or more.
