I remember some time ago, someone gave a link to someplace that had a template for the somewhere at which to drill mounting holes for the drivers side mirror on an A.D.

I searched the archives but came up empty. Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction?
By looking at the cowl on my truck it looks as though there has been a mirror there before. It has a thin coat of filler, and looking underneath where the mounting holes are supposed to be I can only see one... and it appears to have been filled with lead. I have no idea where the second mounting hole should be, how to gain access to it if it is there, etc. I feel like an idiot, but I'd like to make sure I get this thing in the right spot the first time. I don’t like to drill through vintage metal any more than I absolutely have to.
