When I worked in the body business back in th '80's, we did alot of VW's. The glass was relatively small, and it was no problem using a soapy rope. But, the glass on my '66 is considerably larger than a VW windshield. I'm kinda leaning toward calling the glass company. I won't have too many sets of "extra hands" when it's time to reinstall the glass. So, I guess there will be no problems with quality, or fit with the seal?? I does look nice!! I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for the response!!
