Thanks for the prompt replies. I found one place that will rebuild the box by me shipping them the whole steering shaft and box assembly for about 300 bucks. Not sure what shipping would be yet from the east coast to the west coast, but this is just one thing I'm considering at least until I get the whole thing removed and see what's up.
