Actually I should have said his is a 53 Chevy with a 235 instead of a 53 235. Thanks for the reply, I thought that might be the right way after seeing his. There is a small beed around the flange that will help seal oil in if it is installed correctly. Mine is backward and has been since long before I got it, but not anymore! Thanks again
