Dryer sheets work great... for awhile.

What happens is that sooner or later the dryer sheets loose their smell, then the little bastards start carrying the sheets off to make nests out of!

For short term, dryer sheets.. for long term, go with moth balls.. or a cat or two!

I discovered that a 5 gallon bucket tipped on its side with some molasas makes a good mouse trap.. they walk into the bucket to get to the molasas then get stuck in it and die.

I found that out on accident.. I have a large water tank I had tipped upside down to keep the rain and wind off some sacks of corn I feed the cows.. there was a mostly empty bucket of molasas under there and at some point it had got tipped over.. then about every other day or so i'd find a dead mouse stuck in it.

Just make sure to pull the dead mice out of there while they're sort of fresh.. if a week or so goes by, they dont come out in one piece!

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
