i asked some time ago about my daughters 51 half ton popping out of third, and the consensus was that they do that once in awhile. i now remember i once owned a mid 60 chevy biscayne that did the same thing once. but i still feel that something is wrong and since the 51 is a daily driver and i don't want a lot of down time if the tranny fails, what year three speeds will bolt right in (it is still the enclosed driveline) if i know what i am looking for i could post in the classifieds for something in the NE,NY,NJ area but i need to know what 3 speeds i need to be looking for.
