Just for my own satisfaction I would like to get clear on this fastener thing. As I mentioned earlier, my rig is a '54 so maybe I'm OTL on this.
The Chev's of the 40's book shows front hood emblems for years '47-'53..that would include your '52. These items are $70 clams each.
If these items are the same as mine, they are stamped stainless with four metal brackets spotwelded under the lip on the back.Each bracket has one screw permanently attached that goes through the hood and is secured with a nut.
The brackets are not just stuck in... they are not a separate part..I don't think you will find them unless they are attached to a emblem.
