I agree with the 86-87 assessment. I had an 86 stepside Chevy with a 3-on-the-tree. I seem to remember seeing 87's. I had my oil changed awhile ago and had to drag the kid outta the truck because he could'nt shift it. He thought it was automatic, I guess that's what I get for being to lazy to do it myself!
