I think the SSR was like "Star Trek Enterprise" the last installment from those star Trek people.
The series was to take place in the time Before
Capt. Kirk. Everyone even old StoveBolters like Scotty know that when you try to appeal to the younger croud (20s and 30s) with an established Starship,or in our case an A.D. Chevy truck, you are going to run into problems. The Enterprise that was to be the for-runner of Cpt.Kirks Enterprise was better designed and had way-cooler gadgets. However The SSR which is to look like the AD Chevy Truck has so much of the GM bowtie grill stretching, gotta look like our whole fleet, but not offend EPA or the car buying public, look to it, that makes you not even want to buy it. What I am trying to say is that if Scotty built a great old Stovebolt, like the Advance Design chevy trucks... well any other designer should just leave them alone.
those are my thoughts.
