Does anyone know how to get the windshield wiper motor out of my ‘41? I have the blade and arm off. I also have the inside cover and the entire header cover off.
My problem is I can’t see how to get the large (1/2” diameter) lug off on the outside. I’m sure it must come off before I can unscrew the chrome nut and push the shaft through to the inside of the cab. It appears that there is a very small (about 1/8” diameter splined shaft coming through the body from the wiper motor which is somehow engaged into the ½” diameter lug. Maybe I just need to pry the lug off of the small 1/8 spline but I’m sorta afraid of braking it if there is something else holding it on. Help ??? | | |
