How many gear positions does it have? Some Brown transmissions have over, direct, and under gears for a total of 3 speeds. If it has 2 shift rods, you've probably got a 3-speed unit there. Grab it, along with the shifter assembly out of the cab! The next trick is learning to shift it, since it's a non-synchronized "crash box" transmission! I learned to drive 18-wheelers on a 5X3 speed setup with two shifters.
