If you are ever going to a small block (which doesn't sound likley too soon due to your R&R of the 6 cylinder head) you might get a guage with a longer tube due to the up front location of the sensor. Just thought I'd mention it - I drove for awhile with the sensor hanging in air untill I popped for a new gauge/sender with a longer tube for the V8.
