I had noticed that there was a wide (huge!) range of pricing for just PLPD (the least amount of insurance you can carry in Michigan). After seeing the pricing for PLPD, I didn't even ask about Collision and Comprehensive.
I do know that there are a few places near my house (down in Traverse City) that sell special "classic vehicle" insurance. I've not looked into them yet, but I'm told by my cousin (he's got a sixty-something GTO and a 36 Plymouth) that the pricing is much lower. One of them even has an AD 1/2 ton pickup out front! (It's blue and very droolworthy.)
When Number Seven is ready to go, I'll probably be looking a little harder. I've already decided on doing a historical registration with the Secretary of State. I've even got a license plate from 1946 to use on her!
Of course, before I can do that, I need insurance...
