We put Futura Scrambler 215/85-16 blackwall radials on a '54 standard halfton Chevy with original 16X4.5 or 5 inch wheels (can't remember!)
These are usually used on dually rearends I think. They ended up being pretty close to what the dimensions are for original bias tires, with tread width and diameter and all, some of that info available in the front of the 54 Chevy Shop Manual. We compared the original dimensions to those listed on the Tire Rack website, a handy reference. They have worked out really well and look great.
