Don't have to drill holes. It Clamps onto the drip rail and the center strip (Very secure). I had to grind on the mounts a little to get it to fit, but I think you have to do that with any "Universal Fit" accessory. The thing is also very lightwieght. It feels real sturdy though when all the clamps are tight. I haven't had it out on the highway yet. I'll post about that tonight.
