My '54 3600 pick-up has the original "swing-arm" carrier under the bed...would think it's the same for the 1/2 ton...
I believe they used the same rig through the '60s...
You could probably also adapt one of the cable-slung crank-up units from an '80's-'90's Chevy pick-up...
