on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 | I have a 49 chevy 3100 truck with 54 chevy 3100 spindles. I was going to replace the kingpins, but I noticed that both NAPA & Autozone have different part numbers. When I drove the kingpins (49 & 54)out of the respective trucks, I measured and they were both the same (.861" diameter and 6.325" long). I was able to look at a NAPA kingpin for the 49 truck but it was about .200 short. Also, where the locking pin mates to the kingpin looked different. NAPA looked like |__| in profile, while mine looked like \___/ in profile. Can somebody help me figure out what kingpins I need? Thanks in advance.
Always get a 2nd opinion, especially if I am the source of the 1st opinion.
