Kimberly, I have the HEAVY, belted bumper on my 1 ton panel. A friend who is an old time rodder/mechanic told me that it probably came from a 1.5 or 2 ton originally. I have wondered about the press too. My brother has a 500T press and the shape of the bumper would be a challenge even with progressive dies. I have pictures in some of my old smithing books showing a HUGE steam forging hammer. Maybe they used something like that.
