I just got my cylinder head back from the machine shop and last night I started to reassemble it. Considering that this is the first cyl. head I've overhauled, I'm sticking closely to the manual on reassembly. My question has to do with "umbrella seals" on the intake valves. I didn't see them when I disassembled the head but the Haynes manual says the intake valves get them installed. The head gasket and seal set I bought doesn't have these, it only has the little rubber o-ring that goes on each valve stem, which I already know I need to install. Any insight is appreciated.
P.S.---my pontiac 215 is the same engine internally as a chevy 230-250-292.
