Hey all. Maybe somebody can help out. I have installed a 47-55 power steering conversion from chevy duty on my 37...worked like a charm. I just bought a set of tube shock upper and lower mounts for a 47up on e-bay for $26, cheaper than the $250 they wanted for the kit. What shocks fit on the 47 up with tube shocks? I guess it would have to have a stud on each end. How much travel do I need, I'm guessing the same as the distance from the bump stop to the frame. Man it stinks that they don't make much in the way of updates for a 46 and down truck. Mine is the guniea pig as my dad has a 1946 1/2 stored inside since 1975 and we're both keeping the straight axle. I'm going with a 327 and a 4 speed (hydraulic S-10 pedals and a K10 bellhousing).
