Simple way to tell is to smell it. If it smells like Labatt's, Molson or Moosehead it's Canadian or has been used by a Canadian. If it smells like Miller or Bud, it's US. If it smells like a dirty, moldy old parts book, then drink a couple of each of the above and it won't matter to you where it came from.
