An electric winch is the ONLY way I'll load a trailer, unless the car is drivable, of course! Did the come-along nonsense for far too long! I sold trailers for several years, and when I built and designed my own trailer, I decided it would have a large electric winch on the front as part of the design. It's an 18' wood deck flat (16'+2' steel dovetail). Hauled a 1950 Dodge B-2-HHA (2-ton dually) from central Nebraska to central Oklahoma on it, and that winch was worth its weight in gold that day, I tell ya!!!
