The problem I had with a come-along was that the cable was reeled all the way in when the truck was only half way up the ramp. I had no way to move the truck up the one more inch or so necessary to release the ratchet on the come-along.
It was in that position for about an hour before a solution presented itself (we ended up pulling the truck up the ramp with another truck).
