I have reached a dilemma in my restoration project. I have a 350 block that I was going to have fluxed and rebuild for my 70 chevy. Looking at the prices of puttiing new pistons, heads, camshaft etc... It looks like I'm going to have a lot of money tied up in this. I just found a crate engine. GM 350ci with 330 hp HO for $2,300. I already have a holly carb and manifold, so the only other parts I would need are water pump, distributor, torsion damper, flexplate, and exhaust manifold. Any advice on which way to go will be appreciated. It just seems that to buy new heads, cam, etc will be as expensive, if not more by the time I put it all together. This is my first restoration so I want it to look and sound good. Thanks.
