I have been told that the small Blazer rear will fit right in,or an S10 rear should also be close.Make sure you get the gear ratio you need.If you are running an overdrive tranny a 3.73 would be nice if you are runnig a regular 3 or 4 sp.,or a 350 or 400 Turbo./then you would probably want a 3.07 or close.In your 55 you should have 3.90 gears if they are stock.I am thinking about updating my 55 2nd to a later model rear.I am running a 350 engine and 700R4 tranny,so I will be looking for 3.73 or possibly 4.11 gears.Either one will be good highway gears with that set up.
