Around here, I hear it is supply$$ and demand$$. The shops with the good painters and high overhead are making big$$bucks doing the insurance work and don't have time to do old truck paint jobs. If they do have the time they want to get the same profit they get with the insurance jobs that they crank out.
I'm still looking for a painter also.....
