This is how I break my motors in that I have build, three six, four v8's chevy of corse. after getting every thing set and the cam broke in, 2000 rpm for 20 min. I run it as hard as I can like the way that I will drive it later. if its going to break it will do so then. with the six's I go do hard burn out's 5 to 15 min. each with old tires to run the rpm up high. the six that is in my truck now is 19 years old. after the rebuild. know a lot of people that Baby the motors for the first 500 miles and the first time the stood on it it broke something. with all of the engines that I have built none have give me any problems.
