I guess I don't care for the idea of wrecking two nice old trucks (or more) to make one. Especially to hot rod them. Buy fiberglass, put 'em on all modern frames, add new engines and drive train etc. Leave the "Gennies" alone.
A Perfectly (perfect 100 pt!) original restored 46 PU is worth what, maybe $15K? Not worth the investment to Hot Rod an original.
Just my opinion....What say all?
