I prefer the "pre-heated fuel" method. Back in the late 70's a guy from Hutchinson, KS had a 4WD Blazer that he used as a test vehicle. He used the upper radiator hose to heat the fuel before it entered his carburetor. Claimed to be getting over 100 mpg with a 350. And his big money savings came from the pockets of the unknowing!
