Chevy Duty shows different colors (that seem to match what you have):
1947-48 (red needle): [img]

The 1954/1955-1st needle is white but a different style that no one seems to sell (ain't that too often the case).
Chevs of the 40s show one needle for '47-'50 Chevy (1567794 47^50: same needle for '52/'53 GMC); and, another needle for '51-'53 (1567795 51-53).
Jim Carter list the same years/colors as Chevy Duty. Chevs of the 40s is usually a good authority. Maybe someone with 1950 speedometer will respond.
