I am also a new owner, and we're just about in the same boat: I finally picked up my "new" Fleetside 3200 late last week. I am going to have to move a workbench to fit it comfortably in my garage

What cool things have you learned so far? On mine, based on casting numbers and the carb tag, I have what looks like the original 283, complete with exhaust manifolds, but the intake manifold and the Rochester 2G carb may be from a passenger car with a 265. (I'm just going on the information on the web, which is of varying quality; I should probably pick up a SBC ID numbers book.) No clue about the trans or rear end, they're too gunked up to see anything!
