Had one in a 63 Bel Air with a 300 hp 327. Around 120K miles it had been rebuilt twice, the first time with upgrades such as extra clutch discs. The second time was after the tranny slipped while I was driving down the road at 120 mph. After I rebuilt it I found I had blown a headgasket and ended up cracking the block. Sold it as fast as the old man would let me. My info came from http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/transmission_gateway.htm
