Welcome recoil--nice looking truck.
Too much Bondo might be a reason to go to another hood. I made that decision on my '56 when the paint was removed from the fenders, and way too much Bondo as far as I was concerned--I went with new fiberglass fenders, but, of course that is a personal choice. I also had my fuel tank taken out of the cab and moved behind the rear axle, but I agree with Bill Gervais, no need to change it if it's not full of "crud" or damaged. Sounds like you purchased a truck that is well along the path to becoming a nice "ride". Keep us posted on the progress, and great picture!
