Things actually turned out so that my 64 Rat Truck ended up as a movie prop for "The World's Fastest Indian" anout a New Zealander who broke the morotcycle land speed record at Bonneville in 1962.
Here are a coupla pics of my truck "on location":

Even though I was just 3.5 weeks or so out of quadruple bypass surgery, it was good to get out on the desert, park the truck and sit in a camp chair and let the other guys do the work.
The days were long, though. Sunup to Sundown, 6 days a week. Oh, well, they paid for the use of the truck, plus room and board. I can't complain. Beats workin.
Then I stayed on the salt for the last Land Speed Racing event at Bonneville for the year, World Finals.
There are some pics and narrative on this at:
here If you see any glaring error (with over a 1000 files to work with, there's gotta be an error or two, right?) please let me know and I'll fix it asap.
I still have 2 to 6 weeks before going back to work even begins to be a possibility...so I better start playin the bass again...and seein if I can take on an apprentice to help with some of the heavy work that needs to be done.
Stay tuned.
