I used a product called Gator Gaurd truck bedliner and sprayed it over scuffed epoxy primer and it seams to be very durable. I used it on the inner fenders,inner cab and other parts. I had my running boards done profesoinally,which were widened and the cost $250 to have done. A truck bed cost $500 . Have a look here.
