3500's are usually found in the 1/2 ton and larger trucks where the T-5 was in the S-10 trucks and will bolt up to the 235 bell housing with a little help.
3500's were only found in the half tons and in later S-10's to replace the T5's, they were never featured in the 3/4-1 ton trucks. They will bolt up to a small block chevy V6/V8, however their torque specs are less than desireable at barely 300 ft/lbs and while they'll take more abuse than the S10 T-5, they won't take nearly as much abuse as a proper truck tranny like the venerable SM420 or NV4500 will.
