O.K., here's one for ya.
DON'T try to disassemble parts that aren't meant to come apart. The temptation is there to take something apart to the bare bones to clean it and make it look pretty/work mint again, but if you don't have the right tools (OR skill level) you shouldn't be doing it.
I've done this
several times the past few weeks while picking away at the dashboard for my Honda. For some odd reason, there's several parts which the screws hold them perfectly fine, but they
glue the stuff together, too!
Good thing this car came with
lots of spare parts...
