Will, you don't have to disassemble anything other than removing the lower access panel. stick your arm inside and feel around, there is a hole or an old bumper right where the arrow points in the link that Bill posted if it is a '51 door. If you don't have the vent windows than someone switched doors on ya and it would be in the bracket that Wilber, Bob and I mentioned earlier. And again, you can reach that easily also from the access hole and feel the old rubber or the hole in the bracket if its missing.
Also a good investment might be in a flashlight and inspection mirror or stick your digital camera inside there and snap a bunch of pictures so you can see what it looks like inside!
