I don't have much to add here, I got tired of trying paint code after code trying to find the "right" color. So I got the Champagne paint from Chev's of the 40's. It is correct for 47 to 53. It is a flat low sheen gray/brown color. After it dries and sits for a couple of days if you squint you eyes, and cock your head just so, it looks pretty close to what I remember. It maybe could a hint of pink to the mix, but it is close. Just an idea, why do they call it Champagne? I have a passion for the bubbly, and have seen it from water clear to deep straw color. If anything came out of a bottle the color of that paint I would certainly think twice before sampleing it. LOL Jimmie.
