I have decided to replace my warped, stained cardboard door panels with 1/8" masonite. ( I really wanted to use 3/32" black ABS but could not find it locally and shipping was double the cost of material
)
The masonite looks like it will work fine...just a little trimming around the edge to fit trim strips. Although the brown color would be fine, I want to paint or stain it another shade of brown. Question is....what would hold up better, paint or stain?? Would prep be the same? scuff with a little sandpaper?
