Good timing! For my ;50, 3604 I’m looking a little ahead and was thinking bout the headliner just last night. My original headliner is actually in excellent shape, but it looks as though it has shrunk and slightly warped over the past 56 years. I was thinking of taking it down and moistening it than clamping it between a couple of ply sheets for a week or so to flatten it.
Dave I noticed you mentioned that you use the original panels for patterns. Have you run into any problems with the original material having shrink? Also I wonder if you could expand on your use of tempered Masonite as a headliner panel board. Specifically how are you bending it and are you bending it in a simple curve or have you been successful in getting it to conform to a compound curve?
