I just removed a needle a couple weeks ago. I was really surprised how tough it was to pull it off! I didn't hurt the shaft, but the old needle was completely junk by the time I finished yanking on it. Take that as caution for when you install the new needle on the shaft.
Anyone know why it is possible to buy a new cluster, complete with the speedo/odometer (~$125) but not ONLY the speedo/odometer works?
