My '54s had/have clips that were pushed into a lip/groove on the bottom edges of the spring-frame. Jim Carter sells those clips (part # UP220) . JC says these were used from 1937-1959; however, it is my understanding that a professional re-upholstery shop would most likely use hog rings. Tim | | |
