| | | | Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 313 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 313 | I have tried to locate a used head for my 36 GMC,due to a small crack by #4 sparkplug hole. It is an external leak and I am going to see about getting it welded. The engine is a 213 Olds flathead six. Could I use the 229 cu in head from 37? The bore is 1/8" larger for the 229 engine. I don't think that detonation would be a problem since the comp ratio is around 6 to 1. | | |
