Pretty sure the flywheels won't interchange.
You might be able to use the starter switch from the 235 and adapt the mechanical linkage to the 283 starter though.
Would actually be pretty cool set up that way. Never occured to me to try that when I put a 350 in my '49 many years ago. I just put a starter button from NAPA under the dash!
