Yeah, actually they were in the seat. In other words on top of the pan. When I tore it apart for reupholstering, there was lots of mouse/rat droppings and one carcass it there. Oh and the odor, well it was just divine. Now a snake would be extra special. Ask a buddy to suck out the venom after being bitten in the butt and he'd probably tell you you're gonna die. I have been told of a guy working under his dash and coming face to face with a rattler living behind the dashboard. I guessing the snakes in Texas are bigger than anywhere else like all things in the Lone Star state. On the serious side, there are U shaped clips that hold the material to the frame for the seat bottom. They are a real pain to reinstall and may be made out of unobtainium. A old upholsterer can reinstall the clips but the new guys probably have no experience with them. The seat back is hog ringed like everything else. You may not be recovering your seat but if anyone else is don't throw away the clips.
