I'm 5'11" tall. My truck currently has seats out of an old jeep, and I'm having issues with my knees whacking the steering column when I enter/exit the truck. Also: I'm not really far enough back to actually drive comfortably.
If I pull the seats out and sit on the gas tank, I seem to sit back further and have a more comfortable drive. Of course, there is the problem with my not being up far enough to see very well.
Does anyone have problems like this, or am I the only one? I have a feeling it's because of the fairly substantial padding on the backs of the seats. Would a stock seat allow me to sit back further?
